Primary & secondary research

The high effort of using a toilet due to long waiting times, uncleanliness and erratic water supply hinders toilet usage from becoming a habit. On the contrary, the ease of defecating in the open leads to a hard forming habit.

Pilot interventions

The interventions were designed to:
- Eliminate disgust
- Increase relevance of toilets
- Decrease risk perceptions attached to using toilets
